Privacy notice

Who we are
Retaincut is a short-form video editing studio. We decide how the details below are used. You can reach us at hello@retaincut.com and we are based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
What we collect
- When you book a call: your name, email, company, a link to your show or channel, what you want clipped, any notes, and the email addresses of guests you add.
- When you email us or use the pilot request on this site: whatever you put in the email, usually your name, agency, email address and a link to an episode. The request form only opens your own email app. The site itself stores nothing, apart from the host's short-lived server logs (IP address and browser).
- Footage and briefs you send for a pilot or a pack.
- Business contacts we email: if we write to you first, we took your work email from your company's or show's public website.
Booking details are needed to set up a call, but booking is optional: you can email us instead.
This site has no analytics, no advertising trackers and no cookies of its own.
Do Not Track: we don't track you across sites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing here. Every visit is handled the same way.
Why we use it
To schedule and hold the call you asked for, to answer your pilot request, and to deliver the work you order. We don't sell your details or use them for anything else.
Emails we send first
We may email agencies and shows about our service. We use a business email published on the company's or show's own website and send at most 3 short emails. Each one says how to opt out: just reply, or write to hello@retaincut.com, and we stop and add you to our do-not-contact list.
Lawful basis
Taking steps you asked for before a contract, and performing the contract once you order. Where that doesn't apply, our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries and in contacting businesses about a relevant service.
Who processes it for us
- Cal.com, for call booking.
- Zoho Mail, for email.
- Vercel, which hosts this site and keeps short server logs.
These providers may store data outside your country, including in the United States, the EU and India. We use them only to run the service. For transfers out of the UK or the EEA: Cal.com's data processing agreement relies on an adequacy decision where one applies, or the EU standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. Zoho states that it uses the EU standard contractual clauses for transfers. Vercel handles its server logs under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
If no contract follows, we commit to deleting your booking and enquiry details within 12 months of our last contact. If you opt out of our emails, we keep only your email address on our do-not-contact list so we don't write again. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the work and for our records for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or object to how we use them. Email hello@retaincut.com and we will reply within 20 working days.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to your local regulator, for example:

If we change this notice, we update the effective date at the top of this page.
